Cambridge Drive Concert Series

Cambridge Drive Concerts, 550 Cambridge Drive, Goleta, CA

Cambridge Drive Concert Series presents a night of music by three locally-based female singer-songwriters, featuring Natalie D-Napoleon (with Dan Phillips, James Connolly and David Cowan), Kate Graves and Kate Bennett.Natalie D-Napoleon grew up in Australia commencing her musical career began with Perth-based indie-rock band Bloom. After spending five years fronting Australian alternative country ensemble, Flavour of the Month, Natalie relocated to California where she teamed up with Kenny Edwards and Dan Phillips. She has performed across Australia, Europe and the United States, including SxSW and Sings Like Hell. Kate Graves writes little songs - little songs that are raw. Sometimes they are sparse and sometimes filled with lots of little words. Often they are written about things like tasting sweet orange on your lips and wanting to kiss someone so that they might experience tasting sweet orange on their lips. Kate likes kissing. And singing. She hopes you will listen and sing along.Kate Bennett is a performing songwriter who was born on the East Coast and has lived in the Santa Barbara area for most of her life. She was a regular performer with Jim Messina’s Writers In the Round Concerts and credits Messina with rejuvenating her music career. Kate’s recent release, Divine Secrets, was produced and engineered by multi-instrumentalist David West.Tickets are $15 (advance reservation) or $18 at the door.
